Our Beginning

Back in 2018, I noticed something troubling in our industry. New barbers were graduating from programs but couldn't properly execute a classic fade or handle difficult hair textures. The gap between education and real-world skills was getting wider.

Starting in a small shop in Willoughby, we began mentoring apprentices differently. Instead of rushing through techniques, we focused on understanding hair growth patterns, blade angles, and client consultation. Word spread quickly about our approach.

What began as informal mentoring has grown into comprehensive training that prepares barbers for actual shop conditions. We've trained over 200 professionals who now run successful shops across Ohio and beyond.

2018-2020

Foundation Years

Started with basic apprenticeships, focusing on fundamental techniques and traditional methods. Learned what students really needed versus what was being taught elsewhere.

2021-2022

Program Expansion

Developed specialized modules for different hair types and textures. Added business components after realizing technical skills alone weren't enough for career success.

2023-2024

Advanced Techniques

Introduced precision cutting methods and corrective barbering. Students began handling complex cases that other programs typically avoid.
